AIESEC Leeds is based at the University of Leeds. The majority of our Local Committee is comprised of University of Leeds students, but we always welcome students from other institutions of higher education within the city, so long as you are motivated and driven to succeed. It is this focus on excellence that allows us in AIESEC Leeds to consider ourselves one of the best Local Committees in the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland.
We have established networks with organisations and companies in and around the Leeds area. An example includes co-operating with local primary schools on our school project: a project designed to bring foreign students to Leeds in order to assist children with English as their second language, develop their learning.
On the Leeds campus we have enjoyed great success in our Work Abroad Programme. In recorded statistics it is difficult to find a team with more impressive results coming out of Leeds than that of 2010-2011, our students won the award of Best Outgoing Exchange Team this year. A total of 33 students are eagerly looking forward to travelling abroad with AIESEC, many of whom have matched with companies in Colombia, Russia and Indonesia to name a few.
If this at all appeals, and you would like to become a member of one of the most successful Local Committees in the country, then go ahead and contact us on leeds@aiesec.co.uk
Warm regards,
Alec Smith
