Hello Parents!

Two children sitting on a boardwalk

So one afternoon, sitting in the lounge, your son/daughter approaches you and exclaims: "I have decided to go to Kenya to work with children this summer!" Your first reaction is "Why? With who? Are you crazy?"

Well, fear not, AIESEC is not some fly-by company who will take money and run. More like, AIESEC has been around for over 60 years, its the largest student run organization in the world and is an NGO supported by over two thousand small, medium and large enterprises in over 110 countries.

This section gives you a summing up of what the AIESEC Go Global Programme is and why your son/daughter has made a great choice in selecting AIESEC as the organisation to support them on a life-changing experience abroad.

The AIESEC Go Global Programme

The Go Global Programme is a scheme run by AIESEC UK, which helps students and recent graduates to find paid internships or voluntary work, abroad. As a registered charity, we can offer students a unique international experience, which is low in cost but high in value.

Once they have applied and have been selected, they gain access to our database of over 8,000 international opportunities and get the chance to choose their own experience. Because we have a rolling application process, students can normally apply at any time and the start and end dates can be tailored to suit their availability (anytime between 6 weeks and 18 months).

AIESEC supports its members through helping them select the right experience and providing them with advice before, during and even after the international internship.

The best thing about AIESEC's Go Global Programme is that it's run entirely by students and recent graduates from around the world, so you can be sure that your son/daughter will have a large international support network that understands his/her needs.

We're a registered charity in England and Wales (no. 274779) and we're here to provide them with the opportunity to live and work in another culture for no other reason than to help the youth of today develop themselves in a global environment.

Please note: Even though we are run by students and recent graduates, we have a support network of experienced advisors and trustees, who help us maintain the professionalism of our 60 year-old programme; ensuring that the safety and well-being of all exchange participants is considered appropriately.

To find out more about our programme, the selection process, how much it costs, why it costs, what are the refund criteria and terms and conditions, please visit the Work or Volunteer Abroad Section!
