Setting Up a Local Committee?
In order to set up a Local Committee in your area it is essential you have both knowledge and experience in the way AIESEC runs at the university level.
It is advised you have at least one year's experience in AIESEC, having contributed to the activity of another established Local Committee. Therefore, before considering setting up a Local Committee please contact the nearest to you, and join as a member.
If you have the relevant experience you must contact an established Local Committee to become your 'Expansion Partner'. The chosen Local Committee will then support your set-up, and Expansion Proposal. Please contact the National Team of AIESEC UK to gain specific information on what your Expansion Proposal must contain.
Your proposal must be communicated to the National President, and 24 Local Committee Presidents. They will then choose to approve or reject your proposal to be an ‘Official Expansion’ of AIESEC UK.
In 2009 AIESEC UK expanded into Imperial College London and the University of St Andrews.
