What is the Programme?

AIESEC UK places overseas undergraduates, graduates and postgraduates with relevant work experience into UK companies and organisations.

Undergraduates are looking for some experience before completing their degree and can work on short term projects. Graduates typically have at least a year's experience in the areas of Management (marketing, finance, sales), Technical (IT, engineering) and Development (charity). Postgraduates will have substantial knowledge of their area, over 1 year's work experience and will be able to complete advanced job roles.

Interns have developed key soft skills as they have been involved in AIESEC, running and managing the international placement programme on the ground. AIESEC is present in 1700 of the world’s top universities across 110 countries. Our interns wish to have a challenging experience, perform a demanding role in an organisation, gain international experience and immerse themselves in another culture.

Internship last from 2 - 18 months, with a potential for permanent positions if the right expectations are set. The timeline of hiring someone depends on the requirements. Those with EU citizenship can arrive in the UK within 2 weeks, while citizens outside the EU may take 4 weeks or more. AIESEC UK has a Tier 5 Government Authorised Exchange Licence, so we can source interns from all over the world. We deal with all the immigration processing and have dedicated staff to administer this, meaning minimal hassle for you.

Costs

There are only two costs involved in hiring an AIESEC intern: salary and administration fee. The administration fee is dependent on length, for example:

  • 2 months = £1,000 + VAT
  • 6 months = £1,200 + VAT
  • 12 months = £1,500 + VAT
  • 18 months (or longer) = £1,800 + VAT

If you would like a different duration, we can quickly give you a quote; just email nakul@aiesec.co.uk or call 020 7549 1800

For registered charities we have a special discounted flat rate of £500
